A volunteer group in Las Vegas is helping teenagers' prom dreams come true by collecting and distributing donated dresses and accessories.
Las Vegas Prom Closet director Shannon Bilbray says the group gave out about 350 dresses last year, and expects to distribute more this year because of the troubled economy.
This year's distribution is set for 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Recipients must have active Clark County School District identification.
Donations of dresses in good condition are still being accepted at the Jessica McClintock store at Fashion Show Mall; the Marquis & Aurbach law firm on Park Run Drive and Cooper Levenson firm on Elton Avenue; and at dentist Patrick Simone's office on Pecos Road in Henderson.
