ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Raymond S. Papperman, Esq. Chair of Cooper Levenson’s Environmental Law Group, will speak at the New Jersey State Bar Association’s annual meeting on May 20. Papperman will serve as a panelist on a session entitled “The Brave New World of New Jersey Site Remediation.” The panel, part of the Environmental Law Section’s NJ Institute for Continuing Legal Education program, will be held on Thursday, May 20 at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.
The panel will discuss the Site Remediation and Reform Act, which became law in May 2009, is considered landmark legislation requiring major reform to the site remediation program and how the NJDEP conducts its business. Changes include the new Licensed Site Remediation Professional program, mandatory timeframes and new authority for the NJDEP including presumptive remedies and remedy selection in some cases.
This seasoned and knowledgeable panel will “examine where we are and what you need to know.” In addition to Papperman, panelists include: Irene Kropp Asst.
