LAS VEGAS – Cooper Levenson is pleased to announce that Trevor Hayes has joined the firm. Hayes, based in the firm’s Las Vegas office, will work with the Casino Law Practice Group on gaming law matters of every type for casinos, gaming suppliers, gaming industry vendors, and others. He will also work extensively on matters relating to transportation, local land use, legislative advocacy, and administrative law.
Hayes has significant experience in administrative law and government affairs. He represented 25 clients during two regular and four special sessions of the Nevada Legislature. His administrative law experience includes guiding clients through matters before more than two dozen state and local government entities. Hayes was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine in 2008 and 2010. In 2007, he was named a Las Vegas Business Press Rising Star of Business and a legislative standout by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Hayes was appointed as a member of the Attorney General’s Open Meeting Law Task Force in 2010. Hayes served as a legal intern for Hon. James C. Mahan of the United States District Court and the United States Attorney, Northern District of Illinois. He also interned for the New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney, and the Cook County (IL) State’s Attorney.
Hayes is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Northwestern University School of Law (Juris Doctor 2005). In addition to his practice, Hayes serves as a Pro bono volunteer at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. He also serves on the UNLV Alumni Association Board of Directors and was a founding board member of the Nevada Freedom of Information Coalition.
