C. Lawrence Crump Honored as Outstanding Award Recipient by Project Re-Direct/ Youth & Family Services

NEWARK, N.J. – Cooper Levenson is pleased to announce that C. Lawrence Crump has been honored by Project Re-Direct/Youth & Family Services as an Outstanding Award Recipient. The vision of Project Re-Direct is to "save the lives of children and re-direct them to healthier lifestyles while supporting safer communities."

Project Re-Direct is a nonprofit organization that implements various programs based on educating youth at different stages of life. These programs are aimed at guiding children away from alcohol and drug abuse, juvenile delinquency and gang involvement by providing positive opportunities that develop young entrepreneurs, community and family-minded individuals.

Project Re-Direct describes Outstanding Award Recipients as "the groundbreakers who laid the foundation for [this] organization—outstanding community servants." As a life-long resident of Newark, Crump is deeply invested in the local community. Not only has he provided service for Project Re-Direct, but he also speaks regularly at various civic and religious organizations in the area. He is a Fellow of Project Leadership, a United Way program, and also a Fellow of Leadership-Newark.  Crump is a former board member for the University Heights Charter School and previously served on the Community Advisory Board for United Hospital in Newark. 

Crump is the lead attorney in Cooper Levenson's office in Newark.  He specializes in Real Estate, Zoning, Land Use, Personal Injury and Workers Compensation.  Larry has represented numerous developers (for profit and not for profit) before Planning and Zoning boards in New Jersey. He has also assisted clients in obtaining the necessary financing (i.e. Tax Abatements, Tax Credits, etc.) to complete their projects.

Crump is a graduate of Morehouse College (Banking and Finance 1991) and Rutgers University School of Law – Newark (J.D. 1998). He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1999.  He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the Garden State Bar Association.
