Cooper Levenson's Casino Law Practice Group Attorneys to Speak at Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas
Atlantic City and Las Vegas based law firm Cooper Levenson will actively participate in a series of educational sessions and panel discussions for the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), scheduled for Oct. 2 – 4, 2012 at The Sands Expo & Convention Center.
Cooper Levenson has served as the Legal and Regulatory Advisor to G2E since 2004. G2E, known as the leading trade event for the international gaming entertainment community, is expected to attract more than 26,000 industry professionals from around the globe. At this session, experts will explain how Ohio and Massachusetts navigated this challenge in different ways, whether using outside consultants or existing regulatory agencies and structures as guide posts. Russell Lichtenstein: Moderator – Labor Law and Unionization: In Las Vegas, Atlantic City and across Indian Country, unions have become increasingly aggressive in organizing casino and hotel workers. Strikes, demonstrations and political campaigns are just part of the arsenal available to unions. At this session, experts will examine the rights of workers and businesses in these negotiations, as well as best practices for working with local unions Attendees will learn how to build a strategy to work effectively with unions and gain an understanding of how tribal sovereignty and unions can coexist.
