Project Development and Investments
We represent developers, investors and tenants in all types of commercial, residential and mixed use projects, including hotels, casinos, residential, commercial, and multi-family residential. We have particular expertise in representing tenants and developers of power centers, regional malls and strip shopping centers in connection with site assemblage and other complex land acquisitions, agreement of sales, lease negotiations, reciprocal easement agreements and development approvals. We also represent redevelopers in urban redevelopment and other matters.
Developers and other professionals count on our expert advice in contract negotiation, joint venture development, and other development-related matters. Commercial tenants look to use for assistance in evaluating space needs, negotiating leases and resolving lease disputes. Condominiums, Timeshare and Mixed-Use Projects
We help plan and develop residential and commercial condominium projects of every size and scope, from small residential condominiums to large multi-phase communities with commercial and retail structures and community buildings. We were among the first law firms regionally to participate in the development of timesharing projects. We help developers and lenders through the original condominium and condominium conversion process. Owners and owners associations look to us for assistance in management and litigation matters, in condominium leasing and management contracts, and in other operating agreements. Our attorneys have a wide range of experience in structuring, negotiating and documenting acquisitions, construction and permanent loans involving residential, commercial and industrial projects. Many of these loans involve representations of banks, finance companies, pension funds, insurance companies and private lenders. Other loans involve complex seller financing of acquisition transactions. We also represent a wide range of investors / developer clients in financing transactions, including securitized loans. Developers, investors, lenders and government agencies depend on our experts in negotiating and documenting debt restructuring and loan workouts involving all types of real property. We collaborate with attorneys in our commercial litigation, corporate and bankruptcy departments to assist developers, investors and lenders in creditor enforcement proceedings in State, Federal and Bankruptcy Courts.
