Cooper Levenson attorney Andre T. Marques, a member of Cooper Levenson’s Defense Litigation Practice Group in the firm’s Las Vegas office, presented at a recent “Just One” youth leadership program in Las Vegas.
The Just One Project is a non-profit group whose mission is to build a stronger, healthier, and connected community through volunteerism while increasing access to food and services. The group hosts a Farmers Market, a Pop-Up & Give Mobile Market, and youth programs including civic engagement and self-development workshops.
Each summer, the non-profit organization hosts the “Camp Just One” summer camp for middle and high school students. The third week of July was designated “Criminal Justice” week.
Mr. Marques presented to the youth group on “What does it mean be a lawyer?” The students were very engaged and “definitely asked lots of questions,” said Mr. Marques.
Mr. Marques was a licensed banker and held a FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 7 license prior to law school. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Business Administration, from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he graduated with an MBA, and from the William S.
