Cooper Levenson Attorneys Present Best Practices for Taking & Defending Depositions

Atlantic City, N.J. November 1, 2016 -Cooper Levenson attorneys Ronald G. Lieberman, Esq. and Roger Lai, Esq. will present a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program on Taking & Defending Depositions at the Camden County Bar Association meeting at Tavistock Country Club on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Tavistock Country Club is located at 100 Tavistock Lane in Haddonfield, N.J.

The speakers will delve into the intricacies of conducting effective depositions, including how to face aggressive adversaries and the importance of effective listening. Program topics include how structure and organization can enhance advocacy, proper methods for interposing objections and resolving disputes during depositions.

The program will be a panel presentation moderated by Ronald Lieberman, a partner in Cooper Levenson’s Family Law Practice. Lieberman appears regularly before the Family Court in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem Counties. He has litigated on virtually all aspects of family law including property settlement agreements, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, custody, college expenses, and counsel fees. Ron is one of only 3% of attorneys in the state to be certified as a Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Roger Lai handles complex civil litigation of all types, and has tried multiple cases to verdict. He has successfully litigated disputes arising from construction projects, real estate transactions, and insurance coverage issues.

Participants will receive 2.4 hours of CLE credit in New Jersey and 2.0 hours of substantive credit in Pennsylvania. Cost is $70 for Camden County Bar Association members, $100 for non-members, $25 for paralegals and legal secretaries and free to law students.
