Cooper Levenson’s Russell Lichtenstein Named N.j. Super Lawyer For 10th Consecutive Year

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – March 14, 2014 – The 2014 New Jersey Super Lawyers list has a familiar name-Russell L. Lichtenstein, Esq. of the Cooper Levenson law firm. Lichtenstein has been awarded that distinction, reserved for less than 5% of the attorneys in New Jersey, every year for the last ten years. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers that involves multi-phased independent research, peer nominations and evaluations.

“Russell’s persuasive, strategic planning and negotiating skills help bring disputes to swift resolution,” said Lloyd D. Levenson, CEO of Cooper Levenson. “When matters cannot be resolved, his strong investigative, analytical and courtroom skills make him one of the most successful and sought-after litigators in the area. These attributes have earned him the Super Lawyer honor. We applaud the tremendous talent and skill that helped earn him this designation for ten consecutive years. It is a remarkable achievement.”

Lichtenstein is a partner at Cooper Levenson, serves on the firms’ Executive Committee and is the chairman of the firm’s Employment & Labor and Casino Defense Litigation practice groups. He has also been designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney for over 17 years. Less than 2% of New Jersey attorneys have achieved this prestigious certification. Additionally, Lichtenstein has been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Certified Trial Advocate, another distinguished certification possessed by less than 4% of attorneys nationwide. Lichtenstein has been named one of New Jersey’s “Top Attorneys” in the employment litigation field by New Jersey Monthly magazine in each year that they have made that designation.

As a litigator, Lichtenstein regularly appears in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and before various agencies that address employment related matters. Lichtenstein is also lead trial counsel representing the firm’s casino clients in a wide variety of matters. Before joining Cooper Levenson in 1983, Lichtenstein served with distinction as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.

He is active in many civic and charitable organizations and formerly served as the President of the Jersey Shore Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Lichtenstein resides with his family in the Beesley’s Point section of Upper Township.

Cooper Levenson is a full service law firm since 1957, with 75 attorneys and New Jersey offices in Atlantic City, Cherry Hill, and Trenton. The firm has regional offices in Bear, Del., Harrisburg, Pa., and Las Vegas.
