Ronald A. Wagenheim , a partner at Cooper Levenson, Attorneys at Law since 1973, passed away on July 9, 2021.
“Ronnie was the cornerstone of our tax and commercial departments for over 45 years. He was a beloved partner whose brilliance, loyalty and good spirit were truly unique. Ronnie’s quick wit and remarkable sense of humor brightened our lives on a daily basis. He was an amazing raconteur whose anecdotes were legendary,” said Robert E. Salad, President.
Wagenheim devoted his practice exclusively to tax law and concentrated his practice on federal and state tax litigation, estate planning and administration and corporate and individual tax planning. Because of his extensive tax knowledge and ability to bring tax law to life through colorful storytelling, Wagenheim was a sought-after lecturer for local CPA societies, Rutgers Law School, and Loyola Marymount Law School.
In addition to his practice, Wagenheim was a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Taxation Section and a member of the Atlantic County Bar Association. He served as a coach for the Margate Little League Baseball Association and for the United States Youth (USY) Basketball organization. He was also a member of the Board of Directors for several charities, including Seashore Gardens, Resorts Racquet Club, and the United Way.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in 1965, the University of Miami Law School in 1968, and New York University Law School with an LL. M. in Taxation in 1970, Wagenheim was admitted to the bar in New Jersey and to the United States Tax Court.
