Cooper Levenson Welcomes 2021 Summer Associates

Cooper Levenson is pleased to announce their 2021 summer associates – Alonso Loredo, Mike Marciano, Gabrielle Talvacchia, and Taylor Jane Veasley.

Alonso Loredo was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and raised in Bryan, Texas. Alonso attended Texas A&M University for undergrad, where he majored in Biomedical Science. Alonso became interested in the law through a genetics class, where he learned about the patenting of DNA sequences. Since then, he has been interested in how the law relates to and affects science and the health industry. Alonso graduated college in 2019 and went straight to law school at Rutgers-Newark, as the class of 2022. Since starting law school, he has developed a deeper interest in health law and policy, as well as patent and other intellectual property law. Alonso’s fun fact: While in undergrad, he got involved in horticulture and plant identification. Alonso competed in several plant identification competitions hosted by the American Society for Horticultural Science, winning first overall individual in the southern-region and first as a team nationally. He has kept this love of plants as a hobby to this day.

Mike Marciano is a rising 3L at the University of Richmond School of Law. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Richmond Journal of Law & Technology for the journal’s 28th volume. Most recently, Mike spent the summer after his 1L year as a judicial intern for Judge Philip A. Ignelzi in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A Wayne, Pennsylvania, native, Mike graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Professional Communications. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, keeping up with Philadelphia sports, and spending time with his friends and family.

Gabrielle (Gabby) Talvacchia is a rising 3L at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she is currently a member of the Villanova Law Moot Court Board. She is also a Civil Procedure teaching assistant and a member of Villanova Law’s Health Law Society and Women’s Law Caucus. She grew up in Moorestown, New Jersey, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a double major in History and Political Science. Gabrielle is looking forward to exploring numerous practice areas and learning as much as she can this summer.

Taylor Jane Veasley (TJ), was born and raised in West Philadelphia and spent many summers on the Atlantic City boardwalk. TJ is excited to now have the chance to work in Atlantic City and explore all that the city has to offer. TJ graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Political Science and Africana Studies with a minor in International Economics. TJ is currently a second-year law student at Temple University Law school. Her legal focuses are business law and contracts, but she is excited to explore as many practice areas as possible this summer. When TJ is not studying, she is either completing her Vice President duties for the Black Law Students’ Association, buying a new plant, or watching a sci-fi tv show.

Cooper Levenson’s Summer Associate program is designed to provide law students with the opportunity to become familiar with several practice areas, with the goal of providing a well-rounded educational and professional experience.
