David W. Evoy is Of Counsel to the firm and an attorney in Cooper Levenson’s Estate Planning and Administration and Probate Litigation practice groups. 

David is based in Cooper Levenson’s Fort Lauderdale office. His primary concentration is in the areas of estate planning, complex trust, and estate administration, probate litigation matters, and probate administration. 

David is certified by the Florida Department of Insurance to provide seminars and continuing education to insurance adjusters and claims professionals in Florida Workers Compensation law.

He is licensed to practice in Florida and New Jersey.


David’s background also includes extensive work guiding claims management and employers in the areas of workers’ compensation and employment law and litigation. 

He has significant experience in civil litigation defense, premises liability, automobile negligence, personal injury protection (PIP), property damage, insurance defense and workers’ compensation in a multi-county practice in Circuit, County and Administrative Courts. His litigation experience includes workers’ compensation, subrogation claims, automobile negligence, property damage, premises liability and general liability. 

David is experienced in the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, insurance defense, regulatory compliance, and subrogation. 

His reported decisions include Dieujuste vs. J. Dodd Plumbing, Inc., 3 So.3d 1275, Fla 1st. DCA 2009.


David attended Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law 1991-1994. During his years in law school, David was a Member of the Moot Court Society and the Notre Dame Summer Law Program in London, England. He has an LLM in Estate Planning from the University of Miami.
