Profile

Holly M. Whitney is Of Counsel to the firm and an attorney in Cooper Levenson’s Delaware office.

Holly concentrates her practice on estate planning and probate matters. Additional practice areas are commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, business contracts, and formation of Delaware businesses.

A native of Delaware, Holly graduated from The Hotchkiss School and remains very involved in the community and pro bono causes, including Wills for Heroes, Wills for Seniors, and appointment as a guardian ad litem in Court of Chancery Guardianships.  Past pro bono work included the Delaware Pardon Project and serving as an Attorney ad litem for abused, neglected, and dependent children.

She is admitted to the bar in Delaware, United States District Court for the District of Delaware, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Experience

Holly has practiced law in Delaware since 1999 and her background includes estate planning, probate administration, Delaware corporate filings, drafting operating agreements, corporate contracts, and governance.

Holly has guided clients through small business matters of every type, including Federal statutes and regulations such as ADA, FDCPA, and HIPAA.

In addition, Holly’s background has included creditors’ rights litigation and adult guardianship.

Education

Holly earned her AB in Classical Languages and Literature from Mount Holyoke College.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law, now known as Delaware Law School.
