Roger Lai will offer “Practical Tips for the Litigation Paralegal” at a dinner meeting of the South Jersey Paralegal Association (SJPA) on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. at the Tavistock Country Club, 100 Tavistock Lane, Haddonfield, N.J.
Lai is an attorney in Cooper Levenson’s Atlantic City, N.J. office. He works with the Defense Litigation Practice Group and handles complex civil litigation of all types. Roger has successfully litigated disputes arising from construction projects, real estate transactions, and insurance coverage issues. He also has experience in commercial litigation and employment litigation, including: shareholder disputes; director and officer liability; employment discrimination; eminent domain and redevelopment. Roger has tried multiple cases to verdict and was named a “Rising Star in Business Litigation” by the New Jersey Law & Politics Magazine from 2010 – 2013. He is currently serving as President of the Burlington County Bar Association, and is a frequent speaker on legal topics.
The SJPA is a voluntary, nonprofit organization composed of paralegals, students, vendors and sponsors who study and/or work in a variety of areas in the legal field. Its goals and objectives include providing professional support to its members, expanding recognition of the paralegal profession, offering continuing legal education and educational resources to its members, facilitating improvements in paralegal education, being actively involved in the events surrounding the development of paralegal regulation, improving the cost-effective delivery of legal services and promoting the paralegal image.
