Cooper Levenson is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team of professionals in Defense Litigation in Las Vegas.
Responsibilities
Assists Attorney in initial case evaluation and development of litigation strategy.
Represents clients in litigation.
Conducts extensive legal research and drafts correspondences, pleadings, discovery and motions.
Prepares for and conducts depositions.
Prepares for and participates in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Assists in preparing settlement agreements, motions, and briefs.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Bar admission in the state of Nevada, required.
1-3 years’ experience in civil/defense litigation, preferred. Willing to training, provided the right candidate has prior legal experience, is a quick study and is eager to learn.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive legal documents and communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Must enjoy the fast pace of handling complex litigation matters.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and a motivated self-starter.
Ability to work well in a team environment and interact closely with clients.
Must be comfortable in the courtroom, both State and Federal Court.
Experience with NetDocs and Time Matters, helpful.
