Practical Guidance on Ethical Issues Among Topics Addressed at Annual Environmental Law Seminar

Fredric L. Shenkman, Esq. will present “Practical Guidance on Ethical Issues” as part of the 2016 Annual Review of New Jersey Environmental Law on Thursday, December 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The presentation will take place at the New Jersey Law Center, 1 Constitution Sq., New Brunswick, N.J.

The Annual Review of Environmental Law presents a comprehensive overview of the year’s developments. The program reviews the latest cases, regulatory rulings, DEP and legislative initiatives, as well as providing guidance on ethical issues.

Shenkman, a partner at Cooper Levenson, is part of a panel presentation moderated by Mitchell Kizner, Esq. of Flaster Greenberg, past chair, NJSBA Environmental Law Section. Other featured speakers include: Daniele Cervino, Esq., Beattie Padovano, LLC, Montvale; Lewis Goldshore, Esq., Law Offices of Lewis Goldshore, Princeton, and author of New Jersey Environmental Law (5th Ed., 2008); Assistant Commissioner Mark J. Pedersen, Site Remediation and Waste Management Program, N.J. DEP, Trenton; Senator Bob Smith, chair, Committee on Environment and Energy; and Catherine Ward, Esq., Stradley, Ronon, Stevens and Young, LLP, Cherry Hill.

The speakers will provide legislative, regulatory and DEP updates. They also will present on the environmental aspects of real estate transfers and will name the top 10 environmental developments in 2016. Shenkman will present on ethics and New Jersey environmental law from 8:10 p.m. to 9:10 p.m.

Shenkman has decades of experience in both transactional work and commercial litigation. He has lectured extensively on general equity and attorney ethics to various bar associations and Inns of Court. He served as chairperson and as secretary of District 1 of the New Jersey District Ethics Committee.

Cost for the seminar is $180 in advance and $200 at the door. Participants receive Continuing Legal Education Credits in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
