After three weeks of trial testimony it only took a jury three hours to return a verdict in favor of Russell L. Lichtenstein’s clients, an Atlantic City casino and its employee.
The Plaintiff, a casino guest, demanded almost $10 million in damages, asserting that he was injured when he collided with an employee while crossing the casino floor on his motorized scooter.
Video captured Plaintiff’s movements at the casino after the incident, which clearly demonstrated that he was not injured. In addition, despite claims of serious and debilitating injuries, the Plaintiff returned to other Atlantic City casinos within weeks of the incident.
Even with plaintiff’s $1 million in past medical bills and $10 million in expected future medical expenses, the jury agreed with the evidence Russell presented and his arguments based upon that evidence that it was the plaintiff, not the casino, who was at fault.
