Scott R. Cook, based in the firm’s Las Vegas office, is a partner in the firm’s Defense Litigation Practice Group.

He brings a deep background in complex and catastrophic litigation, including class actions, medical malpractice, product liability, insurance defense, and multidistrict litigation (MDL). His practice spanned Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and other Western states, where he led high-stakes cases involving professional negligence, healthcare institutions, and regulatory matters.

Scott held senior positions at several major firms and has extensive courtroom and mediation experience. In addition to his litigation work, he served as managing partner, built regional offices from the ground up, and advised insurers, corporations, and healthcare providers on regulatory compliance and risk management.

An active legal educator, he frequently lectures at legal and medical institutions, including the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, the University of Alaska, and the Academy of Forensic Nursing. He is also a published speaker on topics ranging from medical records law to trial strategy and healthcare litigation trends.

Scott earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law and is admitted to practice in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, and New Mexico, as well as numerous federal district and appellate courts.
