Jennifer is an associate in our Appeals & Research practice group. She brings over a decade of experience in criminal and civil appeals and post-conviction relief.

Practice Highlights

Jennifer came to Cooper Levenson from the Swift Law Firm, where she practiced for more than 10 years in the areas of appeals and post-conviction relief, including criminal appeals for the Office of the Public Defender, quasi-criminal appeals for the Office of Parental Representation, and civil appeals. She also performed research, writing, and consultation for criminal litigation, small business matters, and defense litigation.

In addition, Jennifer has practiced in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice litigation and appeals. She co-authored plaintiff's briefs for McKelvey v. Pierce, 173 N.J. 26 (2002), which dealt with claims of sexual harassment against the Diocese by a former Roman Catholic Seminarian. The case was heard by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Jennifer served as a Judicial Clerk for the Hon. Steven Z. Kleiner in the N.J. Superior Court, Appellate Division in Atlantic City, New Jersey. There, she wrote memos for the four judges on the panel, edited opinions for Judge Kleiner and Judge Dennis Braithwaite, and assisted in writing the opinion in Hernandez v. Don Bosco, 322 N.J. Super. 1 (1999), a case that involved expelling a student from a private Catholic high school.

Jennifer also was an Adjunct Professor at Stockton University, where she taught Argument and Persuasion in the Social Sciences.

Jennifer is admitted the the Supreme Court of the United States and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Jennifer is admitted to practice in New Jersey (1998).
