Lucas R. Levenson is an attorney based in the firm’s Atlantic City office. He is a member of the Casino Gaming, as well as the Criminal Law practice group. In this role, he is responsible for research, memorandum and brief drafting, and assisting the preparation of litigation and licensing hearings for the Casino Gaming and iGaming Practice Groups. 

Career  Highlights
Lucas began his career as a summer intern at Cooper Levenson, working with attorneys in the casino gaming, tax litigation, and estate planning practice groups. He interned at the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable James P. Savio, Atlantic County Superior Court, NJ. Additionally, Lucas worked as a Compliance Analyst for an online sports betting company. Prior to his legal career, he previously worked as a Financial Analyst for an Atlantic City casino hotel. 

Education

Lucas graduated from Drew University with a B.A. in Business Studies and a minor in Religious Studies, where he was a four year starter for their NCAA Division III basketball team, a member of the Economics Club, and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Additionally, he was named to the Dean’s List twice.  Lucas is 5th all-time in career blocked shots at Drew. He was awarded a Juris Doctor degree also from Rutgers School of Law. During law school, Lucas participated in the Law Review where he wrote an unpublished article titled “Sports Betting and Fantasy Sports: A Comparison of United States and United Kingdom Betting Laws.”

After Hours

Outside of the office, Lucas serves as a youth basketball coach. He continues to serve as a high school soccer and basketball referee.
