Commercial | General Litigation

This department handles all forms of general, commercial, and corporate litigation including adversarial proceedings in bankruptcy and local property tax matters. The range of matters handled runs the gamut from simple, single issues to complex, multi-party, multi-jurisdictional, multimillion dollar litigation.

The department, on matters involving complex issues, believes in a multi-lawyer interdisciplinary approach. Additionally, almost all the lawyers in Commercial Litigation “cut their teeth” as transactional lawyers. It is this background that gives the client the advantage of litigators with real-world business experience. There is, therefore, sensitivity to both the outcome of the litigation but also the impact on the operations of the client.

The areas commonly litigated include:

  • Insurance coverage (E&O, D&O, title and CGL),
  • Corporate and Partnership Dissolution, Freezeouts, Minority Shareholder suits, Partnership Disputes
