Carl Berry, who is Of Counsel to the firm, is an experienced business attorney based in the firm’s Florida offices.
Carl has developed a core competency in drafting, evaluating, and advising on contracts spanning crucial areas such as commercial transactions, acquisitions, leases, licensing, employment, and confidentiality. He also has extensive knowledge and practice in corporate governance, commercial real estate, litigation management, and human resources.
Carl serves as Associate Graduate Faculty at Florida Atlantic University, teaching sports law for the MBA Sports Administration program and business law for the Barry Kaye College of Business.
Mr. Berry provides general counsel to small to medium size businesses. His clients rely on his broad-based business counsel covering commercial transactions, corporate compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and licensing. Mr. Berry has an extensive background in commercial litigation in Federal and State Court.
Mr. Berry also practices sports and entertainment law, providing representation to world class professional athletes, musicians and producers, and television and event production companies. He has worked with and represented world class athletes such as Michael Moorer, Shannon Briggs, Ray Mercer, Hector Camacho, Aaron Davis, Richard Hall, Juan Urango, David Santos and O’Neil Bell. He also represents current world championship contenders, Amir Imam, Chris VanHeardan, Saul Rodriguez, and up and coming boxer Xander Zayas.
Mr. Berry is a former New York State Trooper and U.S. Marine Corp Reservist who served during the Gulf War.
Mr. Berry has published articles and text in the area of Federal labor and employment, Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as EEOC law.
