Benjamin P. Ojserkis, based in the Atlantic City office, is an attorney in the firm’s Cannabis and Land Use Practice Groups.

Highlights

Ben came to Cooper Levenson from a Mount Laurel firm. His experience includes researching and drafting pleadings for complex business litigation matters, cannabis research and analysis, assisting in preparation of applications for New Jersey CRC, municipal matters related to cannabis, and general health law and corporate research and drafting.

Ben served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Anthony M. Massi in the New Jersey Superior Court, Civil Division, Mercer County Vicinage, Trenton. Ben was a Law and Policy Fellow in the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of Medicinal Marijuana. He served as a Judicial Intern to the Hon. Bernard DeLury, P.J. and Hon. Donna Taylor, New Jersey Superior Court – Criminal Division, Mays Landing.

Ben was selected for inclusion in the 2023 New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.

Education

A graduate of Indiana University, Ben has a B.A. in History, Minor in Central Eurasian Studies. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School – Camden. While in law school, Ben was honored with a Governor’s Executive Fellowship, Eagleton Institute of Politics. He was a Staff Editor, Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion, Hunter Moot Court Semi-finalist and an Eagleton Student Representative Commencement Speaker.

After Hours

Ben was a Program Intern with the South Jersey AIDS Alliance, where he worked with at risk populations, providing health and safety information and access to clean needles for injection drug users through the Syringe Access Program.
