James Paoli is one of Cooper Levenson’s leading attorneys in Workers’ Compensation and is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in this practice area—a distinction held by fewer than 130 attorneys in the state.
Since 1994, James has focused exclusively on workers’ compensation, representing clients across New Jersey in matters ranging from claim disputes to complex litigation. He represents a diverse range of clients, including insurance companies, third-party administrators, and self-insured entities.
Known for his strategic, results-driven approach, James works to efficiently resolve matters while maximizing outcomes. Beyond litigation, he collaborates closely with corporate clients, attending regular file review meetings and advising risk management directors and other key personnel on case status and potential exposures.
James joined Cooper Levenson in 1998 and became a Partner in 2004, bringing decades of experience and a reputation for excellence to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice.
Jim was inducted into the St. Augustine Preparatory School Alumni Hall of Fame in 2005.
An active alumnus of St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, New Jersey, Jim served as the School’s Alumni Association President from 1998 to 2002. He is a member of the association’s Board of Governors and was inducted into the St. Augustine Preparatory School Alumni Hall of Fame in 2005.
He is a member of the St. Augustine Preparatory School Alumni Association Board of Governors. In September of 2009, he was the Keynote Speaker for the Freshman Convocation.
