Overview

Kenneth J. Calemmo, Jr. serves as Chief Operating Officer of Cooper Levenson, where he oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations across its multi-state footprint. Working closely with the firm’s executive leadership, he is responsible for finance, human resources, marketing, technology, facilities, and administrative operations, helping position the firm for sustained growth while supporting more than 65 attorneys and approximately 75 professional and administrative staff.

With decades of executive leadership experience, Ken has played an integral role in Cooper Levenson’s growth and continued success, strengthening its operational infrastructure and helping expand the firm’s presence throughout New Jersey and beyond. His strategic approach to business operations has enabled the firm to adapt to changing market conditions while maintaining its longstanding commitment to exceptional client service.

Throughout his career, Ken has dedicated himself to improving the quality of life in Atlantic City and across South Jersey by advancing economic development, supporting local businesses, and strengthening the communities they serve. He believes vibrant communities are built through collaboration among businesses, government, nonprofit organizations, and civic leaders, and he has devoted countless hours to initiatives that foster economic opportunity, neighborhood revitalization, and long-term regional growth.

Ken currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Atlantic County Economic Alliance, helping advance strategies that promote investment, business attraction, and economic growth throughout the region. He is also the Founder and Chairman of the Chelsea Economic Development Corporation, where he has championed housing, neighborhood revitalization, and community-building initiatives in Atlantic City. A former Chairman of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, he has spent decades bringing together business and community leaders to help shape a stronger future for South Jersey.

Ken’s commitment to service extends beyond economic development. As Chairman of “Let Us Eat – Please,” he leads a non-profit organization that provides thousands of meals each year to families in need throughout South Jersey. His leadership across civic, charitable, and business organizations reflects a career dedicated not only to organizational success, but also to creating meaningful opportunities for the people and communities he serves.

His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including SJBiz’s 2026 Power 50 list of the most influential business leaders in South Jersey, Community Leader of the Year from the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, and Businessman of the Year from the NAACP Atlantic City Branch.

Whether leading operational strategy at Cooper Levenson or championing initiatives that strengthen South Jersey, Ken remains committed to building thriving businesses, stronger neighborhoods, and lasting community partnerships.

Education

Ken holds a degree in public administration from the University of Scranton. He has been a member of the Association of Legal Administrators since 1986, an organization for which he has served the Philadelphia Chapter as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President.
