Brooks Evan Doyne is an accomplished litigator whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, employment law, medical malpractice, tort defense, and complex civil litigation. He represents businesses, healthcare providers, medical facilities, and individuals in state and federal courts, handling matters from early case assessment and strategic counseling through trial and appeal.

Prior to joining the firm, Brooks served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey for almost six years. During his tenure with the Department of Justice, Brooks represented the United States, its agencies, and federal employees in a broad range of civil litigation. His practice included defending employment, constitutional, tort, contract, and medical malpractice claims brought against the federal government. During his tenure, Brooks gained substantial courtroom experience, conducting hundreds of depositions, arguing dispositive motions, serving as first-chair trial counsel, and successfully handling appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Earlier in his career, Brooks practiced at several national law firms, where he represented employers in workplace litigation and counseling matters, defended physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals in medical malpractice actions, and represented clients in complex commercial and construction disputes. Brooks also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Polifroni, P.J.Cv., of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County Vicinage. In that capacity, he gained a firsthand understanding of judicial decision-making and developed a sophisticated perspective on civil practice, motion practice, and the effective presentation of complex legal issues before the court.
